Client Profiles
Shelter, the housing and homelessness charity, is the UK’s leading advocate for those in need of a roof over their
heads. They were searching for a unified system for their Training, Marketing, Subscriptions and Publications departments,
to enable a more streamlined process in responding and communicating with delegates, clients and subscribers. Following a
diligent selection process which included evaluating some of the largest suppliers of CRM and Training Management software
they chose Pangaea to implement Aptify, for its rich functionality, adaptability and proven record of client support. The
system allows them to manage both public and in house training courses, as well as subscriptions, publications, reports and
other product sales. The system later grew to include integration with Shelter’s online shop, allowing their clients to
purchase publications, subscriptions and places on training courses at their convenience.
Elim Pentecostal Church, a top 50 charity with over 500 congregations in the UK and activities in over 75 countries,
approached Pangaea when it was looking to introduce new software at its Head Office. The Aptify system supplied by Pangaea
helps Elim to deliver a range of tasks, from processing Gift Aid claims for local churches to building central database of
church officers, officials and supporters. It has since become a vital tool for Elim, holding data on over 3000 local-church
role holders, around 1000 open and closed churches, the organisations properties, church attendance and offerings and Gift
Aid declarations and HMRC claims.
The Regional Studies Association, an international learned society with a huge constituency of leading-edge academics, policy
makers and practitioners, needed a system which would allow it to be responsive to its members, highly effective in the
organisation of its events and accurate in the management and distribution of its published documents. The Aptify Association
Management System installed by Pangaea met all of those goals, delivering an all-embracing enterprise system from which the
RSA’s staff now say they would not want to be parted, as they can now manage instantly all aspects of the Association’s
business through a single application.
The British Society of Gastroenterology (BSG) were looking to replace their current bespoke Membership system with a
Membership / CRM system to support administration of both members and non-members and manage BSG’s relationships and
contacts with them. After an extensive selection process they chose Pangaea to supply the Aptify system as it has extensive
CRM capabilities, allowed better maintenance of data quality and included self-service access for registered contacts to
maintain their own information and apply for membership online.
UKSG’s mission to connect the knowledge community and encourage the exchange of ideas on scholarly communication has been
enhanced thanks to the Aptify system provided by Pangaea. The system is used to support UKSG’s membership base of around 500
organisations and its range of events, webinars and conferences.
Universities and Colleges Information Systems Association (UCISA), which represents both higher and further education in the
provision of information systems, needed to manage a membership constituency including educational institutions, special
interest groups and corporations, whilst also running a full calendar of conferences, exhibitions, meetings and other events.
They selected the Aptify system from Pangaea as it combined both membership and event management, replacing a disparate and
inflexible set of Access databases with a unified facility which would save time and effort and enable more effective
communication with the membership, including two-way integration with UCISA’s Sitecore CMS based website.
